A chess scene created to experiment with caustics and refractions. Created in 3ds Max 2009. Texture maps created using Photoshop CS2. Rendered using mental Ray with Final Gather and caustics enabled, and precomputed final gather and photon maps. Cloth simulated using the Cloth Modifier. Faces at render time: 64,294
